A Meeting Held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Organization, Independence, and Efficiency of Internal Control Structures

On July 31 of the current year, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies to discuss strengthening internal control over the targeted and efficient use of budgetary funds, reinforcing budget discipline, organizing internal control structures within the Ministry and its system, as well as further enhancing their independence and efficiency.

The meeting was attended by deputy directors of the “Directorate for operation of buildings and capital construction” state entity as well as employees of the accounting, procurement, and anti-corruption compliance control departments. In collaboration with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and its sectoral departments, special attention was paid to the prevention of violations of budget legislation. In particular, issues related to the correct calculation of wages, monitoring of construction work at sites included in infrastructure development programs, and quality control were discussed.

The necessity of strict compliance with legislative requirements during public procurement procedures and ensuring the targeted and efficient use of budgetary funds at all stages of the budget process was especially emphasized.
